Coursework for M.S. Degree in MHC

The M.S. Degree in Mental Health Counseling is a 60-61 credit hour program that meets the requirements for graduates to be license-eligible as a mental health counselor in NY State.

Standard Versus Accelerated Programs of Study. In consultation with the advisor, students select one of two typical sequences of courses to implement the program of study. The first option is the Standard Full-Time Program that is taken over five semesters. The second option is the Accelerated Full-Time Program that is taken over four semesters, which includes coursework taken during the summer between the first and second years.
