Curriculum, Instruction & the Science of Learning - English Education

ApplyOur PhD in Curriculum, Instruction and the Science of Learning with a concentration on English Education is concerned with the teaching of literature and composition in secondary schools and colleges and universities. The program takes a broad humanistic approach and emphasize research and practice in language, writing, and response to literature. Students study theory, research, and practice. Graduate students tutor and conduct research in local schools and are encouraged to publish their work and present papers at local, state, and national conferences. Highlights of the program include:

  • Finish in 4 years.
  • Transfer in Masters’ credits.
  • Study and work with world-class professors.
  • Collaborate with educators, superintendents, researchers, authors, deans, and others.
  • Engage in research that integrates literature, composition, media, and digital literacies in secondary schools and higher education and more.
