UB has 9 libraries with 3.7 million print volumes, 30,000 periodical subscriptions, and 10,000 multi-media materials.

Our largest libraries are the Lockwood Memorial Library and Oscar A. Silverman Library. These feature arts and sciences materials, as well as course reserves, reference assistance and periodicals.

CLaRI's 50th Anniversary Literacy Conference: Looking Back, Moving Forward

The Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction (CLaRI), founded as a reading clinic in 1963, is celebrating 50 years! During that time, CLaRI has helped thousands of WNY children develop stronger literacy skills, helped hundreds of enthusiastic teachers become effective Literacy Specialists, and helped create and sustain an active research agenda. To celebrate, CLaRI is hosting a conference with sessions for education teachers, faculty, administrators, researchers, and students.
