ELP 543 Intro to Economics of Education

This course provides an overview of the economics of education at an introductory level. The course begins with a brief survey to economic theory and concepts that are pertinent to such a study. No prior background in economics or finance is assumed. It may however, be helpful to review some basic economic principles outside of the course readings. By the end of the course, you should have developed the analytical skills in using economic tools for educational policy.

EEPA Program Students:
ELP 543 is a broad introduction to the material that will be core to the program. It differs from ECO 544, primarily in the level of sophistication in theory and technique—ECO 544 being more advanced.
